💡 War Teams

Since I met Mark in 2009, every Veteran’s Day, I receive a text message from him recognizing my military service and service in a war zone. He is the only one.

Mark and I have known each other for 15 years. But in many ways, it feels like the last 10 were leading us to become the business partners and leaders we are today.
From the start, we had a lot in common.
- Our families live similar lives—both are entrepreneurial, value hard work, and care deeply about making a difference.
- We also share something deeper. I spent time in war zones in the Balkans and West Africa.
- Mark served 14 years in the U.S. Army, including time in conflict zones.
- That kind of experience changes how you see the world—and it gave us a special connection.
We both spent years in sales leadership, learning how to lead people and drive results.
- What made our relationship stand out was how differently we think.
- Mark is steady, practical, and systems driven. I’m more about vision, energy, and people.
- We challenged each other in a good way.
- We had each other’s back when things were hard when we made mistakes and learned the hard way.
Over time, that trust and teamwork turned into something bigger.
- Now, we get to build something meaningful together.
- We don’t just want success—we want impact.
- And we believe we’re stronger because we see the world through different lenses.
Complementary TUG Cards
On January 1, 2024, our team made a giant leap forward. Mark Keeling joined us as an Integrator.
Knowing we could complement each other was one thing.
- But convincing my six business partners to make a big leadership and financial commitment?
- That was totally different.
TUG Cards saved the day. I could show my partners how Mark’s strengths would work with mine.
- They could see how his talents would help everyone on our team perform better.
Alignment of values and beliefs was visible. But energy was where I really struggled.
I’d known for years that I needed to slow down so my team could speed up.
- But I couldn’t figure out how to do it. Mark’s “Careful Implementer” energy was what my “Intuitive Activator” style needed.
The bottom line: Within just a few weeks, I felt this huge sense of relief. I finally had time to think big picture and plan our future. Mark became my thinking partner in that process.
At the same time, he was working with other leaders on my team to build trust and improve how we got things done.
The Visionary & Integrator swim buddy team is off and running.
