Full Circle

Andrea and Sasa

Leaders come in all kinds and shapes.

  • Some of us are outspoken and galvanizing.
  • Others are quiet and tenacious.

I met Andrea in 1999 at the very beginning of my career as a financial advisor. She started a few months before me and taught me how to do my first financial plan using FASware.

She started the career right out of college with a clear understanding that she wanted to be a financial advisor and have her own business.

  • As her leader, I admired her character and resilience.
  • A couple years later, Laura and I attended Andrea‘s wedding and that was the first date we had as parents.

The bottom line: From the first financial plan I ever did to being a partner and a leader on an elite team, Andrea and I came full circle.

10X Growth is NOT Linear

COVID created adversity that brought us together again.

  • Our team was building capacity to support retiring advisors to transition their clients and create a legacy.
  • We supported Andrea and her business remotely, which included leadership coaching.
  • Andrea put her ego behind her and reinvented her business with our support. That added to the character of our team – a new flavor that made everyone better.

Mike Shuck was observing the transition from the distance while contemplating his own exit strategy.

  • What he saw inspired him to decide to transition his successful business to Andrea and Inspire Confidence Group. Together.

The bottom line: This all happened over the course of 36 months and we completed our 10X leap because of it.

🎋Graft MultiGen Teams Using TUG Cards

To be a founder of a business, one has to have a strong ego.

  • To have a business last longer than a founder, the founder has to put that ego behind themselves.
  • There are endless stories about how different the new generations are and how they do this wrong and that wrong.
  • The truth is that youth has fluid intelligence that allows them to do operational things quickly and with more accuracy.
  • Wisdom comes with years and experience.

Grafting energy of team members in their 20s and 30s with the wisdom and experience of team members in their 40s, 50s and beyond is easier said than done.

We use TUG cards to suspend judgment and guilt to focus on winning as a team by applying talent and unique genius of every team member regardless of the decade of life that they are in.
